15 - Month - Old

How your toddler's growing: Your baby is growing up fast these days, walking, talking a little, and probably even using a spoon or fork when she eats. Every game she plays, whether it's pointing to different body parts when you ask her to or putting objects into containers and taking them out again, teaches her about the world around her. One of the things she's learning is that she's an autonomous entity, not just an extension of you. How can you tell if your child has grasped this concept? Watch her in front of a mirror; if she recognizes herself and isn't trying to reach out and touch the "other" baby, she gets it.

How your life is changing: The way your child interacts with the world around her will tell you a lot about her temperament — how she's likely to respond to different situations, people, places, and things. For example, some children are flexible and adapt easily to change, others need a more predictable schedule. You can modify your child's environment to help her succeed. She's depending on you to make her feel comfortable. By respecting her needs, you can help her develop to her fullest potential.

People's Park

We went to the park last Friday and I'm just sharing pictures here. It's obvious that little boy was having a wonderful time. Seeing fish swim, running here and there and chasing doves. He saw a monkey but he was not amazed by it. Time to scoot out.

My little critter

I’ve been meaning to blog but everytime I sit in front of the PC, someone comes in rushing to join me. You know who I mean….yah, you’re absolutely right. My little critter that is. He lights up like a light bulb when he sees Mama sit on front of the computer. He’d held his arms to be put on my lap and will also be typing like you’re able to read it. Move the mouse like a pro and pretty much destroying everything in front of me and push the button that turns my monitor all blue with the words that reads “shutting windows now” . That is it. And since my compositions had all been erased, and I don’t like recomposing again, I’d rather play with him then. I’m not complaining because computers will stay on the desk and I can readily use them anytime but the time spent with my critter is absolute and I can always blog about it later, when the criiter is already spread out in the bed snoring!

And he’s in deep slumber as of this minute.

And today is the actual Father’s Day. We had it celebrated a week earlier. It’s the priest’s fault. *LOL* Last week after we had our “Father’s day” lunch, we headed to the mall to get hubby my gift. I’m getting him shoes because that’s what he wants  and he doesn’t wear shoes often, he’s more of wearing sandals, so  I don’t get it why he wanted shoes. Well, maybe for a change? Dunno. We were searching and searching and went home with nothing. He didn’t like the designs and said he’ll wait after a few months for the new designs to come out. I still want to get him something today! But I can’t think of anything…the only thing in my mind is the blank DVD’s. *LOL* I’m sure he’ll love it though but I buy him those on normal days.  He got me a printer on Mother’s Day but I can’t afford Xbox for now. I’ll figure it out later, we’re going to the mall anyway for food shopping and mik and diaper for little boy.

Hafta go…little boy is up!

Celebrating Father's Day

I thought the celebration would be on the third Sunday of the month. During the mass, the priest said Happy Father’s Day to all father's. So it is today!

We had lunch at Let’s Crab Eat resto in Torres street. It was our first time there and the food was great. Crabs were ohhh-so-yummmy and everything that we ordered! Went about  11am and good thing we did because the place isn’t that big so when people started coming in, they had to leave as there’s no more place for them. But for us, we had a great time as a family. I’ll be dining again in that place…just not sure when =P. I took pictures and here they are.

 And my little boy having a great time. Mingling with other kids he doesn’t know. He’d also laugh when they laugh and to think they’re ignoring him. Hahahahaha

I love the shot, DH feeding our little boy. I’m so blessed to have him as my hubby and at the same time my best ever friend.

You guys might be wondering what’s with little boy’s shoes? Nothing. It’s not expensive, in fact, its very very cheap. I just love the look of it in his feet.

Up and Down

I'm always exhausted when I come home from work (as if naman I do office stuff, eh ng chichika lng naman ako the entire shift....still, exhausting din)  but I get energized seeing my little boy waiting for me. I'm always greeted with his biiigggg smile and a hug. I so love it. He comes to me when I pretend to not see him and he'll pull my pants or hand to make notice of his presence. And when I look at him, he gives the gesture that he wants to be held. Big boy na talaga.

I  asked hubby for us to go to SM earlier because I wanted to buy little boy new water bottles. The old ones he had i'll be throwing away 'coz no matter how I clean it, it still smells like spoiled juice and molds had  started settling in the straw.  I don't want ittle boy having a taste of those molds, its not good for his health. Though the straw was made of soft rubber, designed for babies that they can chew it on but I guess, it wasn't designed to last long. I'm buying him bottles with sipping straws for adults, he's big now anyway. It wouldn't hurt him anymore.

While we were at SM, our little critter is again off somewhere far and beyond. And most of the time, his Papang is the one chasing after him. His endless exploration is always new to him. And of course, his conquest will always fall on top of the escalator. Weeeeee!  Riding up and down. Up and down. Up again and down again...and enough. Papang is already very tired.

Better days

Still having a slight cough but little boy is doing a lot better now. He lost weight but it’s ok, we’ll get back in shape once he’s totally ok. Meds did wonders and he now had his voice back. We thought it was only because of his dry cough that he lost his voice, unknowingly, it was caused by a virus for his airways to swell, preventing or limiting the amount of air to get in his system. Good thing it was all over. He’s tattling again, yay! I’m happy and relived. Thank God for that!

Many thanks to FIL and SIL for taking good care of my little boy. And to my DH, thanks  for having sleepless nights to make sure little boy gets his doze of puffs (he’s on a nebulizer therapy *LOL)  while I’m in the lala-land dreaming of a little boy crying…tsk tsk tsk.

Under the weather

CoiCoi is having fever, slight cold and a very bad cough. It was so bad that he’s now “pa-os”. He was perfectly ok Satruday afternoon while we were at the grocery mall. He was running all over the place and when its was our time to pay for the supplies, he started throwing up. My goodness! A lot of people stared and I’m pretty sure there were some disgusted looks but I never cared. Then off we went home, and before sleeping, I even recorded his new dance steps. He was dancing as if nothing happened in the grocery store earlier that night. And while he’s asleep for like 3 hours after, he started coughing and right away lost his voice. He was crying in the middle of the night.

It’s been months since he had his last flu and I’m thankful that he seldom goes through this restlessness feeling. I didn’t had enough sleep last night for he keeps on waking up crying. He doesn’t wanna be held by his Papa, he only wants Mama. Poor little thing.

::sound asleep...finally::

::this morning::

I hope he'll be OK soonest. I'll be back to work tomorrow and I can't help but think of how he is doing while i'm away.
