Furry babies

These two were my babies before little boy came. They’re still are but I haven’t taken care of them like I do before. My hands are full with little boy alone. But the three of them gets pretty well together. Little critter can utter their names Mocca and Pooo-poooo now that sounds so cute The critters tries to feed his two furry brothers all the time that makes Mocca go mad and barks at him. Critter would ran as fast as he can away from the dog…poor little thing. But whenever someone tries to hold or grab the critter that they’re not familiar with…they don’t allow it. And would really bite. Very very protective big bros. *LOL

I’m certain Pupuh misses sleeping on the bed like he used to. But he has a comfy basket anyhow, enough not to make him feel abandoned. I still play with him though, especially when little boy is asleep, he’d make himself known around me like pull the tip of my PJ’s or try to snatch my slippers off my feet or simply do the stretching and he makes sure his paws would touch my feet.

Mesothelioma

There’s this one famous soap from the local TV that’s been going on for months that I never watch. That soap has generated high TV ratings for the network and I got interested.  I’ve watched one episode and there was this scene that an Uncle is talking to her niece that was in the hospital dying of mesothellioma cancer. Other scenarios were taken in a courtroom where they’re fighting for the closing down of a very large mining company as accused of dumping asbestos waste to the nearby village causing people to get sick with mesothelioma cancer.  I remembered my best friend’s dad used to do mining before and I searched in the internet about mesothelioma asbestos. And that once exposed, it will stay in the body and does not show any symptoms and some could take from 10 – 40 years to show the condition.

This is a very rare form of cancer that is related with asbestos exposure. The malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, in this disease. Mesothelioma prognosis still remains complex.  Chemo and surgeries does not guarantee cure of the disease but there have been alternate treatment that had worked and extended the life of the patient more that surgeries were able to do so.

Pain and pleasure

You always have the ability to change your life for the better. To take the specific actions that will bring about that change, you must find the motivation within yourself to do so.

To create your own powerful, personal motivation, set yourself up to do two things that come naturally. Move away from pain and move toward pleasure.

If something is painful, you will be highly inclined to move away from it. So remind yourself at the deepest level about the painful consequences of not taking action, of not making the changes you know you must make.

When something is pleasurable, you will naturally and without hesitation move toward it. Arrange to make the changes so completely and meaningfully pleasurable that you cannot help but take the actions necessary to bring them about.

When you give yourself a compelling reason to change, you will most certainly find the way to make those changes. When you clearly know why, within the depth of your being, you will figure out how, and you'll enthusiastically do whatever must be done.

Yes, you can indeed make a positive change in your life right now. Move away from the pain of inaction and toward the pleasure of whatever you sincerely seek.

Oversoming Addiction

Many people and even I myself do not understand why individuals get addicted. It may be to drugs, smoking or other vices. As a normal and no addiction person, aside from taking pictures, I would always think that quitting is just a matter of will power. Easier said than done, I know. Little did I know that chemicals in drugs disrupt the way nerve cells normally communicate and process information in the brain. So no matter how much will power you exert, it’s overwhelmed by those chemicals dictating your brain. And since these has been a very common issue in our society today, is has also been an opportunity for people who are willing to help and be helped overcoming addiction.

Various types of programs offer help in drug rehabilitation, including: residential drug rehab, out-patient, local support groups, extended care centers, and recovery or  soberness. Newer rehab centers offer age and gender specific programs depending also on what drug treatment center you are in.

Winning the battle over drug addiction is not an easy road. Nevertheless , if you have the will to quit the addiction, one must have the very important element  of treatment, active participation of the patient  in treatment and willingness to change for a better person.

Halloween 09

Little boy experienced his very first Halloween today and had fantastic time ever. He was all dressed up as Aang in the Avatar and most children knew that character. From the moment we got in the mall, everybody smiles looking at him, they’re so amazed and they would take pictures of him. Some would even stop us for a shot and little boy loves all the attention he’s getting. Plus, his costume was all but unique. There was no one who wore the same outfit. And should I  had known, I must have registered him to join the contest. But I know he’ll be bored staying in the activity hall waiting for the judgment. He was running around the place like it’s his first time and like there’s no tomorrow. Bringing a toddler is very tiring.

While doing our rounds, little boy is not at all interested in gathering candies. He just loves the idea that there are many children around. I can tell he was happy. We thought he’d never wear his outfit but he did and he allowed his Papang to draw on his bald head is the bravest thing he ever did hahahaha. One thing, people thought we purposely shaved his head to match with the costume, nope! We normally do that because he does not have much hair growing and if there were, it’ll only grow on the back part of his head. It’s not balanced so we normally shave it off.

There goes our little sweetheart’s Halloween and we’re so proud of him for not messing up the arrow on his head.Though at first he tried touching it and his fingers went all blue and said "dirty".

Our tiny love got the best Halloween so far, its his first and its something to remember by how adorably cute he was being Aang the Avatar.

Alcohol Rehab

I’ve came across an article that says a certain amount of alcohol everyday is healthy for the body but having too much of it is no longer good. When can we say that it’s still in the safe drinking level? It actually differs from one person to another as some people can tolerate an amount of alcohol in the body. Everyday drinking or too much at a time is one sign of dangerous drinking habit. This could lead to domestic violence and other legal problem like intoxicated driving. This has been a prevalent problem to almost all countries, the reason that there are Alcohol Rehabs built almost everywhere to help individuals live a healthy and alcohol free life to enjoy it.

Going over an alcohol treatment is no easy especially if one person is already used to have alcohol intake almost every day. However, an alcohol rehab center has different approaches for different people depending on their alcohol dependency and their willingness to change. So if you feel like you know somebody that needs help, there are several private alcohol rehab to choose from that too offers different types of treatment.

Going to a drug rehab center is a result that you still want to change and that you want to enjoy life to its fullest with the people you love around you.

Magnified thoughts

Your thoughts are more powerful than you can ever realize. For there is a part of you that faithfully puts each thought into action without question.

Your thoughts affect every part of you in ways much too numerous to ever keep track of. Each thought sets off a cascade of responses within you that cannot be stopped.

What you think, affects where your life goes. For each thought is magnified and manifested through the whole of your existence.

Positive thinking empowers much more than your thoughts. Negative thinking can dismantle every part of your life.

You always have a choice of what to think. When making that choice, always remember each thought has great power that continues long after the thought has passed from your consciousness.

Though thinking does not make it so, thinking makes you make it so. What you think becomes what you live.

Creative living

Creativity is more than just making stuff, and more than just making stuff up. Creativity is expressing, in all sorts of ways that have no limit, what it means to be alive.

You can be creative in such a way that the whole world celebrates your creativity. Or you can be just as creative in ways that only you will ever know.

Being alive is being immersed in an ever-expanding set of possibilities. Being creative is giving your own special meaning and purpose to those possibilities.

Creativity is a special kind of magic. It produces more value than it consumes.

When you are stuck, creativity will move you forward. When the goal seems completely out of reach, creativity will open up a way there.

In all you do, find new ways to be creative. Creativity is one of your most valuable skills, so put its power to work every chance you get.
